Hello, my lovely readers! Sorry about my absence over the past couple of days. Easter and Easter preparations took up a lot of my time over the weekend, so Happy Belated Easter to all of you! Also, this is finals week for me so I am bogged down with studying for finals and massive essay writing. I'm trying to recall where in the rule book of life does it say, "the last week of college classes will always be tediously torturous". Haha. But really, I am so ready for my Summer break to begin.
Anywho, enough about unpleasant things for now. This outfit is put together especially for Easter, and isn't that pink handbag splendid!? I bought it at the same time that I got my floral satchel (if you have seen that posting). I love shopping days like that, when you find just the most perfect items! :)

Well now, the blogging break is over and it's back to essay writing for this girl!
I hope that you are having an incredible week, stay lovely.

Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember my Daddy always saying, “There’s nothing new under the sun.” Now what did he mean by this? Simply that no idea, thought or action was something new, or something that has not already been thought about or carried out by someone else. As disheartening as this may seem, I believe that it is absolutely true. However, this is not to say that uniqueness does not exist. You see, there may be another girl down the block that has the same dress that you have, but I guarantee that the two of you never wear it in exactly the same way. && that is what makes that dress unique to you. Once you put on that dress and accessorize it to your liking, you have made it a part of you; a part of your psyche.

This is the main reason that I am so in love with fashion and all of the possibilities that it holds, because you create yourself, your inner personality and soul through the way that you dress. Whether you go for the edgy look, the street look or the girlie look, you are representing yourself through clothing, whether you realize it or not, and I think that is beautiful.

I encourage everyone to ponder this the next time you “throw something on your back”.

One Spring Day...

 Outfit Details:

Yellow Front Cardigan - Charlotte Russe
Vintage Style Floral Print/Bow Romper - Charlotte Ruuse
Brown Leather Handbag - Clair's
10k Gold Ring [not pictured] - Gift From My Dad
Bronze Wedge Sandal -Payless
Owl Stud Earrings - Betsey Johnson

We all have our favorite articles of clothing or piece of jewelry/accessory, and in this look that I am sharing with you lovely readers, I have gotten all of my favorite things and combined them!  I have always been partial to floral print and I can't ever pass up a cute romper, in this outfit, I stumbled upon the best of both worlds (not to mention the darling bow). Today was a pretty windy day, regretfully, so I had to have a little cardigan for warmth, which pairs just melodiously with the romper.  Like all girls, I like my heels/wedges, but when you pair a little wedge with the strapiness of a sandal, pure joy! The ring that I am wearing is unfortunately not visible, but it is very special to me because my father gave it to me, as a little surprise gift. You might also recognize my brown handbag that I overuse with almost every outfit, and I am sure that you are sick of it, but it always seems to go so perfectly with everything I wear (so I can't help it!). && finally, my cute little Betsey Johnson earrings, I battled a lady to the death on ebay over those beauties, hehe.
You have to admit, they were sooooo worth it.

I apologize that this posting was sort of scatter brained, but I simply couldn't help bragging about an outfit that includes some of my very favorite things. (:
I really hope that you all had a great weekend, and thank you so much for the feedback on my video.
All of your support means the world to me, I can't even begin to tell you. Also, I want to send a special welcome to my new readers, Stefanie Bernet of Sail With Fashion (who by the way has the cutest little blog) and Ane of The Creame (she's got some great photographs for inspiration!). Thank you both for becoming part of my reader family.

Many Sides of Fashion.

I have always felt that fashion goes much further than just clothes and keeping up with the new styles. I believe that fashions extends into make-up, hair styles and even nail art/designs, and it is all about keeping up with the current trends involving all of these. There are so many different ways that you can change and manipulate all of these key elements into trends that are representative of yourself.
It is for this very reason that I have decided to begin blogging about ALL aspects of fashion.

This is my marble wave nail design. Although it looks pretty complicated, it is actually surprisingly an easy design to accomplish and would be great for a novice or beginner.  If you like this look and what to learn how to replicate it, please tune back in on April 15th and I will have a video tutorial on how to get this look. :)

I also want to take this time to welcome my four newest readers: JoanaTootsie JeanNatia and Annabelle. If you enjoy my blog, you should definitely consider checking out these lovely ladies and their blogs. They all offer different views and styles of fashion and will be a great addition to your reading list.
My readers mean so much to me, and I  truly treasure them, so I just want to thank everyone who keeps up with my blog and let all of you know that I appreciate the support.

P.S. If you have any requests for any types of tutorial, be sure to leave them in my comment box. (:

The weekend is finally here! It seems like this has been such a long and grueling week, I am glad that it is finally time to get some down time.
Today's blog posting is dedicated to this beautiful new satchel that I bought earlier this week.  It is just darling and I couldn't wait to show it off! :)
I have been looking for a satchel style bag for ages, but many of the ones I found were in the 60's-70's price range, ouch! I found this little beaut by chance and I am oh so glad that I did.
I always go through phases of trying to find a specific item for my wardrobe.  Don't get me wrong, I am one of those girls that just goes shopping, just to well... SHOP! With absolutely no goal in mind. But every once in a while I get the drive to find that one piece to improve my wardrobe and I set out to find it.
I just love floral prints like the one on this handbag, they are just so quaint and just plain lovely! I have been trying to find more floral items to add to my collection, but lets face it, finds like these are few and far between.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

P.S. What do you think of floral print? Are there other types of prints that you really like?
